500 houses added to Louth Building Stock
ALMOST 500 houses have been added to the Louth Residential Building Stock in 2017, it has been revealed.
According to the Geoview Residential Buildings Report, 489 dwellings were added to the housing stock last year and a further 300 buildings were under construction in the county in December 2017. The new houses added to the GeoDirectory database represented 1.4% of the national total of new addresses. The Louth housing turnover rate was 2.45%, slightly lower than the national average of 2.5%
The average residential property price in Louth in 2017 was €193,871. This was lower than the national average of €262,061. However, excluding Dublin city and county, the average national property price was €187,623. In Louth, the area with the highest average residential property price in 2017 was Drogheda at €216,536.
