Padraig McGroggan

WON the Most Valuable Player award as he captained the St Mary’s DS basketball team to All-Ireland Under-19 ‘B’ Cup glory.

The Duleek native hit 30 points in the 64-45 victory over Glanmire of Cork. Also top-scored in the All-Ireland league final which the Drogheda school lost by one point.

Padraig won a basketball scholarship to DkIT – and he was on the Duleek/Bellewstown team who won the 2017 Meath Junior ‘C’ Football Championship.
