THE Glen Emmets captain learned of his team’s Louth Junior Championship triumph from the Lourdes Hospital but still had a huge hand in their unbeaten run to Christy Bellew Cup glory.

A steadying influence at full back, both in the championship and league where the newly-promoted Tullyallen men held their own in Division 2. In the Junior final Emmets inflicted a first defeat in 22 games on Glyde Rangers, despite losing Tom in the second half with a dislocated shoulder.
