Public meeting in the Barbican centre
A public meeting and open debate on topics about Drogheda takes place in The Barbican Centre, Peter Street, Drogheda, this Thursday 18 January at 8pm.
Issues such as homelessness, vacant houses, derelict buildings, traffic congestion, parking and the upcoming Fleadh, are all up for discussion.
Organised by Independent Louth Councillor, Frank Godfrey, subjects and concerns raised at the meeting will be brought to the attention of Chief Executive of Louth County Council, Joan Martin.
‘ This is a chance for people to come along and make their voices heard.
‘ There are a range of issues impacting on people and this will be a platform, hopefully for changes to be made.
He says the issue of playing pitches is also something he has been passionate about and feels action must come on a proposed project at Newtown Cross.
‘Parking is a huge issue with people and I want to hear what problems motorists and pedestrians have had to endure.’
