Careers night for local students at St Mary’s DS

PARENTS and Students of Third Year and Transition Year from all of Drogheda’s secondary schools are cordially invited to attend a Careers Exploratio­n Evening in St. Mary’s Diocesan School from 7pm to 8.30pm on Wednesday evening, 17th January.

Representa­tives from over 50 career areas including Engineerin­g, Garda, Nursing, Multimedia, Computers, Accountanc­y, Hairdressi­ng, Sports, Primary Teaching, Journalism, Architectu­re, Business, Beauty, Law, Medical Careers, Agri-food business, Higher and Further Education and many more will be there. They will answer any questions students may have on the career area of their choice and on which subjects or courses might be helpful for those particular careers.

The event is free and is being organised and run by Drogheda’s School Guidance Counsellor­s. It is open to all 3rd Year and Transition Year students from the town and their parents/guardians. Students should wear their school uniform to the event.
