NEW VENUE PLAN FOR OLD MILL SITE

UP to 24 jobs could be created by the opening of a bar, lounge and restaurant venue at the former Brannigan Weavers mill building at Mayoralty Street (right).

Louth County Council has granted permission to Mayoralty Ltd for permission and retention permission at the site of the partially protected structure.

The developmen­t will consist of retention of finishes and window treatment to front elevation, etention of front wall to rear building off the courtyard, retention of roof types to rear buildings, change of use for entire building to bar, lounge & restaurant venue, internal alteration­s to existing buildings and the existing roof to front building to be replaced with new roof structure and roof finish.

Alteration­s to rear elevation of front building include the reinstatin­g of existing blocked up windows and the widening of two single doors to front elevation.

Staff members will be allowed access to the Augustinia­n Church car park and the developers say that between three and 24 jobs will be created by the developmen­t. It will open from Monday-Thursday 11.30am to 11.30pm, Friday-Sat, 11.30am to 12.30pm, Sunday, 12.30pm to 11pm.
