All level at top of Premier Division

THERE’S a three-way tie at the top of the Fosters Duleek & District League Premier Division after Carranstown inflicted a first defeat of the season on Sally Inn on Friday night.

Carranstown and Greyhound have now joined the Sally at the summit, with Lantern Bar leading the chase in fourth place.

It’s all change in Division 1 also, with four of the top five teams losing as the bottom three all winning as Matthews took full advantage to move into first place.

Meanwhile, the league’s annual Singles Competition will take place on Sunday February 11th, with the Doubles Competition on Sunday 25th, both in the Westcourt Hotel with registration no later than 1.30pm each day.

The Singles draw will take place on Thursday February 8th in the Carranstown Lodge, Duleek, at 8.30pm. The entry fee is €10 per player, with a minimum prize fund of €1,000. There will also be various spot prizes, a Charity Raffle And Fosters promotion on the day of both competitions, together with a possible Darts Exhibition later in the year.
