Gavin Rafferty

BECAME Duleek’s first-ever All-Ireland boxing champion a couple of years ago and now possesses four such medals after his latest success in 2017.

Competing in the Youth 1 75kg category, the 16-year-old beat double Irish champ Michael Doyle in the semis and then out-boxed four-time National champion Ruairi Brennan in the decider.

Gavin went on to compete in the European Junior Championships before winning gold in a multi-nations tournament in Dublin.
