Mary Lou for Uachtaran

Following the announcement of Uachtaran Shinn Fein, Gerry Adams TD of his intention to step down the discussions began throughout the 32 county Sinn Fein structures as to who would be likely to put their name forward as replacement and to who would eventually be elected to the position. Whoever the lucky candidate is will know that they will have very big shoes to fill when taking over from Gerry Adams both within and outside Sinn Fein.
As Cathaoirleach of the Lynch/Grogan Cumann (Duleek/ I have taken great pleasure in nominating MaryLou McDonald for the position of Uachtaran Shinn Fein.
I feel , going forward, MaryLou McDonald is the person to carry the mantle for Sinn Fein in the coming years. She has proven to have the capability, skills and the personality to continue to continue with the great work which Gerry Adams has done for over 30 years as our leader.
