ST COLMCILLES MEMBERS RAISE €20K FOR MOVEMBER

THOUSANDS OF EURO GOING TO GARY KELLY CANCER SUPPORT CENTRE

THE Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre has described the donation of €10,000 to the centre from the progressiv­e St Colmcilles GAA club in East Meath as an ‘ incredible boost’.

Ann Tracey said they were delighted to secure the funding and it will assist so many people this year.

The money was raised from the Movember Challenge, organised by the club members.

‘ This is the second year of the event and it doubled what was made last year. I know the club have great plans for the future and all we can say is thanks from the community that make use of our centre from the entire region,’ Ann added. ‘ The St Colmcilles are a great group of people.’

The Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre in Georges Street, is a support centre for people living with cancer, their families and thoses who care for them. The centre offers holistic and complement­ary therapies, education and psychologi­cal support. All therapies and supports are free of charge.

The centre is a non-referral service and an appointmen­t is not necessary.
