Christian Unity Prayer Service to mark Christian Unity Week will be celebrated on Thursday 25th of January at 7.30pm in Church of the Assumption, Tullyallen. All are welcome. Light Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards in the parochial hall. St. Oliver’s Pastoral Area Calendars are available in the porch. Please feel free to take one.

SLIMMING WORLD TIMES

Slimming World are running their classes every Thursday. The first class is 5pm and the second is 7pm. If you feel you have overdone it a wee bit at Christmas, why not head on down to the Glen Emmets Clubrooms. All new and returning members are more than welcome as Amanda will be there giving plenty of inspiratio­n, motivation and encouragem­ent to everyone who comes along.

GLEN EMMETS SHORTLISTE­D IN THE DROGHEDA INDEPENDEN­T SPORTS AWARDS

Drogheda Independen­t Sports Award nominees have been announced and the Glen Emmets Junior Champions have been nominated as ‘Team of the Year’ and Tom Grimes is also up for ‘Sports Star’ of the Year. The good news is that you can vote as often as you like by filling in form in Drogheda Independen­t each week till January 23rd. If you would like to drop your voting slip into Lynch’s Centra, Tullyallen Pharmacy, The School and The Morning Star, they each have a box and can deliver your voting slip to the Drogheda Independen­t for you. We still have this week’s paper and next week’s paper to get our entry forms from. Let’s get behind the Emmets lads.

LOTTO RESULTS

Results for the Glen Emmets Lotto held Tuesday 9th January 2018. The Grand Prize Draw was for €3,300 and there was no winner. The numbers drawn were: 9, 20, 22 & 23. The 4 Lucky Dip winners who receive €25 each are David Cusack, Ailbhe O’hUllachain, Derrick Johnson & Emma Markey. Next week’s draw is €3,400. Tickets are on sale in Centra Tullyallen or any committee member or now you can play online.

MEN’S SHED

The Tullyallen Men’s Shed have come back after the Christmas break they are meeting on Tuesday mornings at 10am in the Glen Emmets Clubhouse. The Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities. All new members are more than welcome to come along for a chat and cup of tea. So why not go along and see what it’s all about.
