More info on the Fleadh would be very nice!

-

PEOPLE can’t wait to become part of the Fleadh - but can’t get any information about it!

That was the claim at last week’s meeting with the view that people are only too willing to assist those organising it.

Rory McMahon who runs a hostel in town felt that they all needed more information.

He said the majority of his building was booked but he needed more information on what was going on.

‘We can come together and help.We need to get repeat customers from the Fleadh,’ he remarked.

He said that many tourists were being driven out of Dublin and were coming to Drogheda, where people speak to them and they enjoy the experience.

Francis Hurley from Hurley Brothers said the town was a ‘gem of the place’.

‘We get people from America, Australia and Europe and they love the town. We have one of the best towns in Ireland and the Fleadh will be huge.

Cllr Godfrey said he was sure the gardai are making arrangements and that public meetings would take place, something he had been pushing.
