Van break in at local centre

-

GARDAÍ in Drogheda have been examining CCTV footage after a break-in to a van parked close to the Scotch Hall Shopping Centre last Tuesday, January 16th at around 4.30pm.

The footage shows a black Peugeot car pull up close to the van and a man in a hi-vis vest approach the vehicle. Within a matter of seconds, he had removed the lock, however, thankfully he was disturbed and nothing was taken from the vehicle. Gardaí have warned local workmen not to leave vans with valuable tools inside unoccupied, even in built up well lit areas. ‘ This happened in broad daylight, these guys can strike anywhere,’ said a spokesperson.
