RETURNED from South Korea as a double world champion after winning two gold medals at the Masters Indoor Championships.

The Drogheda & District clubman unleashed his finishing kick to beat his American and Spanish rivals to first place in the M45 800m. Then in the 1500m final he had to run wide into lane three to pip his rivals on the line in a new Irish record of 4min 7.44sec.

Went on to earn him the title of AAI Masters Athlete of the Year.
