Thomas McCague

DROGHEDA native Thomas had a heavier suitcase returning home from Canada after bagging three medals at the World Dwarf Games.

The highlight was winning gold in his favourite event, the powerlifting – where he narrowly failed to set a new world record bench press of 140kg – while he also claimed silver medals in archery and marksmanship (shooting).

He went on to achieve a new personal best of 142.5kg at a recent powerlifting competition in Limerick.
