DULEEK CREDIT UNION AGM
Duleek Credit Union will hold their AGM on Wednesday 31st of January at 8pm in the credit union which is located on the main street in Duleek. All members are welcome to attend.
DULEEKS BOYS & GIRLS NS
The Parents council of Duleek Boys & Girls NS are hosting a Comedy Night in the Glenside Hotel Drogheda on Friday 9th February 2018 featuring Joe Rooney and Patrick McDonnell from the iconic TV series Fr. Ted. Tickets are €15 and are available from Elaine 086-8875158 and Geraldine 086- 8521971 and all members of the Parents council. Show starts at 8pm. Audience competitions, Raffle and DJ on the night. A great laugh is guaranteed. All are welcome and your support for the schools would be greatly appreciated.
DULEEK WOMENS FORUM
At the recent AGM for Duleek Women’s Forum; the following officers were elected: Chairperson Pauline Nugent, Ass Dianne Murphy, Secretary Pat Spellacey, Ass Anne Wolahan, Treasurer Greta McGuinness, Ass Vivienne McGuinness, PRO Ann Finger, Ass Lorraine Clarke, Event Organiser Lorraine Cunningham, Programme Organiser Marita Hurst. The group meets in the Courthouse on Tuesday mornings at 10.30am. On Tuesday 30th January we have a flower arranging demonstration and Tuesday 6th February we have a make-up demonstration. New members welcome.

ROYAL MEATH ACCORDION ORCHESTRA
This year’s annual fundraiser will be held in The Barbican Theatre in Drogheda on February 3rd at 8pm sharp. Some of the very talented artists joining our Senior and Intermediate Orchestras on the night will be Duleek GNS Senior Choir and their music ensemble, Xtreme Style Academy, Susan McDonagh, The Maguires, piper Darragh O’Heiligh and St Peters Male Voice Choir. We have Jerseys/coaches we even have trophy’s’ from last year but we need a few more girls. CUSHINSTOWN AC AWARD
Cushinstown AC were presented with the prestigious Mick Quinn Cup for best Juvenile club at the Athletics Leinster Star Awards 2017 on Saturday January 6th in Tullamore. In June 2017, over the course of two weekends, a contingent of 18 of Cushinstown’s juvenile athletes travelled to Tullamore for the Leinster Championships to compete in various track & field events winning an impressive 16 medals. Those who competed for the girls included Katie Lenehan, Aine O’Sullivan, Amy Callaghan, Mollie White, Niamh Quinn, Amy Bellew, Emily McGreal, Abi Sheehy, Niamh Cahill, Ava Purcell, Laura Bolster, Ella Barry, Ellen Gough and for the boys, Loclainn Harris, Eamon Armstrong, James Bellew and Lee Callaghan.
The award is in recognition of the great results achieved by the juvenile (U12-U15) athletes at the Leinster Outdoor Track and Field Competitions in 2017. This is a wonderful achievement for both the athletes and coaches involved.
