STOP sign is just being ignored

-

IT has been raised a few times but there still seems to be no action being taken with the STOP sign on Constitution Hill.

Legally, when approaching the Cord Road, going up the hill, you are supposed to stop, never mind yield to traffic already on the Cord.

But cars constantly just drive straight through the junction, without even looking to the right to see if anything is coming.

It does not help that it’s almost a blind junction, as you have to almost go past the STOP sign to see around Sarsfields.

Obviously, the issue is that people don’t want to have to stop and get going again on this steep hill and that makes total sense.

The council need to really look at the issues here before there’s a major accident.
