Tow away cars parked on footpaths in Drogheda!

GARDAI are undertaking a number of initiatives in schools in the area, including drug awareness talks.

‘IS it time to start towing away vehicles that park on footpaths?’

That’s the comment Cllr David Saurin wanted answered, stating that people were still parking on paths, despite a lot of publicity about it (below).

Chief Supt Christy Mangan said he had spoken to groups and fines had been issued to vehicles. ‘I saw a DVD of people trying to get around the streets in a wheelchair and, at best, some of the parking is bad manners. They’ll pay the price.’
