Warm tributes paid to Garda John Hannigan

TRIBUTES were paid to the late Garda John Hannigan at the policing meeting with Cllr Tommy Byrne stating that he was a ‘great man’ and was held in the highest esteem by all that knew him.

Cllr Frank Godfrey said John was always out on his bike and was a real community garda.

‘He was one of the old stock and we won’t see his likes again.’
