FROM JOINT POLICING COMMITTEE MEETING
Drug dealing and drinking in grounds of Bayview House
PEOPLE are dealing drugs and dumping rubbish at Bayview House - to such an extent that residents are being intimidated.
‘ The council have served notice on the condition of the building and the windows have been blocked up, but there’s fears that someone will be injured there,’ Cllr Richard Culhane stated.
‘ There are people in there dealing drugs, jumping the walls, drinking and causing a disturbance. They have threatened residents when they’ve appealed to them to leave the place.’
He says a lot more patrols are needed in the area and those taking part in the anti-social behaviour are not from the area.
‘Residents are in fear up there and the rubbish being dunped over the walls are causing problems with rodents. Schoolgirls use this area to get to the Sacred Heart.’
