Boomerang plays part in safer internet
BOOMERANG Youth Service, situated at Fair Street, is playing its part in Safer Internet Day, an EU wide initiative which promotes safer internet use, will take place on Tuesday 6th February.
The Theme for Safer Internet Day 2018 is “Create, connect and share respect: A better internet starts with you”.
The Cyberbullying Team at Boomerang Youth Service are very busy visiting all schools in the Drogheda area with their Cyberbullying presentations. Both students and parents are invited to attend and participate in these invaluable Talks.
Grainne Ferran, Boomerang’s Cyberbullying Team said, “1 in 10 young people experience Cyberbullying and through our targeted presentations in schools we highlight the various platforms and dangers to young people of all ages. We also stress the importance of online safety and monitoring to parents and guardians”.
