Adams expresses concerns over broadband in the region
SINN Fein President and Louth TD Gerry Adams has expressed his concerns regarding the National Broadband Scheme following the news of Eir’s withdrawal from the tendering process.
This recent development casts real doubts over the Government’s ability to deliver for existing broadband black spots in Co Louth.
Teachta Adams said: “The government national broadband plan is failing homes and businesses in Louth. Over the past five years I have been consistently asking the government when high speed broadband will become a reality for the area.
“People in Co Louth are increasingly frustrated at the recent news and they are rightly worried at how it will impact them. I have submitted a series of Parliamentary Questions to the Minister seeking clear answers on how Louth will be affected and I will pursue this important issue.”
