€114k funding local centre
THE allocation of over €100,000 for the Louth Volunteering Centre has been warmly welcomed.
It has recently been announced that the County Louth Volunteer Centre based in Bolton Street in Drogheda will get significant funding of €114,000 in 2018.
Welcoming the news, Louth TD Fergus O’Dowd has said: ‘County Louth Volunteer Centre plays a vital role in enabling volunteering locally, allowing citizens to get involved, help our community and make new friends, acquire new skills and most of all to give back to the community.
‘ The Centre provides opportunities to volunteers who want to feel more connected to their community.
‘It helps foster a sense of involvement and promotes good citizenship.’
Minister of State Seán Kyne has approved an allocation of €114,100 to Louth Volunteer Centre.
