New exhibition opens at Highlanes
A fascinating exhibition opened at Highlanes Gallery last Saturday that focusses on nature, the environment, landscape, creatures contemporary and prehistoric.
The exhibition has attracted a lot of interest from the public and promises an exciting experience for both adults and children as it runs over the next two months.
From casting lava to environments, species and a world at risk, there was a great attendance at the artists’ talk by the two Beara Peninsula-based, Danny Osborme and Frieda Meaney. Dr Susan Steele, Marine Biologist and Chair of the Sea Fisheries Protection Agency made the opening remarks.
Highlanes is presenting Children’s Mid-Term Workshops as well as a special Discovery Box for teachers and group leaders who book in for a guided tour. www.highlanes.ie
