Time to register for the annual CF run

THE 2018 Duleek Cystic Fibrosis 10K Run/Walk takes place in Duleek on April 29 at 1pm and now is the time to start getting ready for it.

The event is to remember and celebrate the lives of cousins Cathy O’Brien and Kelley Noone and all friends and families touched by Cystic Fibrosis (CF).

The aim of the event is to increase public awareness about CF and to raise funds for the local Drogheda branch.

Drogheda Floral Art Group

The next meeting of Drogheda & District Floral Art Group will take place on Tuesday the 13th of February at 8pm, in the Holy Family Community Centre, Ballsgrove. Demonstrat­ion by Eileen McKenna. Everyone Welcome.

Concert for St Mary’s

A MAJOR fundraisin­g campaign has been launched in a bid to raise up to €200,000 to save the roof of St Mary’s church on James Street.

The church, built in the 1880s, has suffered from wear and tear over the years and slates need to be replaced to help secure the roof structure.

A fund-raising committee has been set up in the parish to raise the necessary funds and a number of events have been organised.

First up is a fundraisin­g concert featuring the Drogheda Male Voice Choir & David Leddy along with Amie Dyer and the Drogheda Boys Choir. Alison Comyn is the compere. It takes place on Friday 9th March in St Mary’s Church at 8.00pm, Tickets are €15.00.

They have also organised a Golf Classic on the 27th April 2018 in Laytown/Bettystown Golf Club. People can support this project by any of the following: Team of four - €300 includes green fees and dinner. Tee Box Sponsorshi­p - €100.

Holy Hour

A Holy Hour with music and reflection­s is to be held in St. Mary’s Church, James Street, Drogheda on Wednesday February 14th at 8:00 pm

TLT Ballet

The Royal Moscow Ballet brings the world’s greatest Love story Romeo and Juliet to the TLT. The world famous troupe take to the stage on March 8 at 8pm. Tickets from the TLT.
