Cut back the bushes and see history
I know Frank Godfrey is very big into the preservation of the old town walls so this piece will be right down his alley.
I was in the car park opposite the garda station recently and stopped to admire the structures that remain in the area, below the Bridge of Peace.
They have seen better times but there is a real hint of what they looked like in their prime, including half an arch!
If the whole area could be cut right back, it would be quite a sight.
