Two golds and a silver for Amy

MULTI-EVENT specialist Amy McTeggart continued her recent fine run of form in the Boyne AC colours as she scooped not one but three National medals in the last fortnight.

Her first title came in the high jump in the Under-23 National Indoor Championships, held in Athlone, where a jump of 1.70m ensured a gold medal win. A silver in the long jump followed, thanks to a fine jump of 5.45m.

Then, with just a week to rest in between, it was off to the new National Indoor Arena in Abbotstown on Sunday to compete in the AAI Games, where a jump of 1.65m in the high jump secured her yet another gold medal.

With these successes under her belt, McTeggart is definitely one to watch out for in the coming months as the track & field season gets under way.
