St.Joseph’s CBSAnnual Coffee, Cake andConcert Morning

St. Joseph’s CBS Parents’ Associatio­n and staff held their annual Coffee, Cake and Concert morning on the 1st of February. It was a huge success and raised €1,705. All proceeds will go towards our new Junior Infant Classroom.

There was almost 200 people in attendance. They enjoyed delicious buns and cakes all sponsored by Glanmore Foods. Entertainm­ent was provided by Mr.Mulroy’s exceptiona­lly talented School Band, Ms.Dillane’s Class, Ms. Kehoe’s class, Ms. Maher’s class, Ms. Gregory’s class, Ms. Lucey’s class and Ms. Maloney’s class. The group Big Boys also performed. Solos by Peter Connor, Nathan Yesudas, Anish Mdugu, Ahron Mathew, Karol Connor, Antonio Juric, Rene Klempar and Jamie Rock.

The Parent’s Associatio­n and Annette Horan organised a selection of prizes for Raffle. These included two very generous hampers, afternoon tea in The Scholar’s Hotel and vouchers and from Kevin’s family Butchers, Centra, Geraldine’s Hair Salon. We also received sponsorshi­p from OCSC Consulting Engineers and Glanmore Foods.

The success of St. Joseph’s Coffee, Cake and Concert morning was a result of the hard work of the Parent’s Associatio­n and the committed staff. Also, all the children and parents who baked and bought cakes. It was a wonderful success and embraced by the local community.
