KEEP the club quiz in mind. It’s coming up on Friday week, March 2, in Kennedy’s, Carrick Road, and is for teams of four. All are welcome.

A vote of sympathy was passed at a recent meeting with the family of Mrs Maura Foy, Mohill, Co Leitrim. The deceased was mother-in-law of club member and former junior team selector, Dave Dorr.

The numbers drawn in last week’s lotto were 8, 16, 19, 23. There was no jackpot winner; one match-3 winner, Arnie, c/o Paul Lynch.

Tonight’s jackpot is €11,400. Tickets can be purchase at Grant’s Shop, Dublin Street.

The presentati­on of Junior Championsh­ip medals and Dinner Dance takes place in the Glenside Hotel on Saturday March 10th. Tickets are €30 and are available from committee members.

The Féile Peile na nÓg 2018 (Down, Louth, and Meath) tournament will be played on June 29th, 30th and July 1st and we are delighted to be a host club. Let’s make this a HUGE success for our club and county!

The draw takes place every Tuesday night in the Morning Star, Tullyallen, and tonight’s jackpot is €3,900.

KILKERLEY EMMETS

THE club lotto resumed on Tuesday last February 13, for carry over jackpot of €6,800 of which Pat McElroy from Cortial was the lucky winner so congratula­tions to Pat and Ethel. Jackpot on Tuesday of this week is €1,000.

Membership fees for 2018 are now due so if you missed the registrati­on night last Friday, you can still pay to Club Registrars. Walking Track members can also be paid and new fobs for entrance gate to walking track are available. Sheelan Cup this Sunday, February 25, at 10.30am away to Geraldines.

LANNLEIRE

WE will be hosting a Safe Talk workshop on Saturday 3rd March at 10am in Lannleire Pavilion. Safe Talk is a half day alertness training that prepares anyone 17 years or older to become a suicide alert helper. Further details on Lannleire Facebook or contact David McGeough at 0870544238.

WELL done and congrats to sharpshoot­er Jack Brady who successful­ly managed to defeat a strong field of contenders to win our Top Ace score competitio­n with a fine top score of 10 aces. Congrats also to Cian Byrne who played great handball on the night to win our last man standing competitio­n.

There will be a committee meeting next Wednesday night at 7pm in the Pheasant function room all delegates, players and members are requested to please attend the agenda will include our upcoming promotiona­l handball Family fun day.

Our 40x20 juvenile handball coaching at Gormanston sports complex is going very well and will continue every Tuesday night at 6.30pm until further notice.

Reminder our club membership is now due adult fees €40, juvenile fees €10. Membership forms are available at Coke hall reception or you can contact any committee member.

The club would like to wish all juvenile boys and girls the very best of luck in the Leinster 40x20 singles and doubles finals.

Our juvenile handball coaching continues every Friday 6.30pm to 7.30pm for boys and girls. The cost is €2 each.

THERE was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne’s Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 14th February. The winning numbers were 10, 11, 21 & 27. There were 2 match 3 winners Martin McQuillan, Clogherhea­d and Caroline Riley, Drumcar who won €75 each. Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000. The Naomh Fionnbarra Intermedia­te mens team have their first game of the year in the Paddy Sheelan Cup v Newtown Blues in Drogheda on Sunday 25th February at 11:00am.

Naomh Fionnbarra’s Last man Standing competitio­n for the 2018 National Football League season started over the weekend. There are 52 entrants who made it through to Round 4 which is on next weekend 24th/25th February.

The club are hosting membership registrati­on days on Sunday 25th February between 11:30am and 1:30pm at Dillonstow­n Hall for men, ladies, juveniles and camogie sections. All players and members who wish to renew their membership are welcome to attend on either day. Club Membership is now due for renewal for 2018 with the following options available: Adult Membership €50, Juvenile Membership (up to U-18) €40, Family Membership (2 Adults & 2 Children) €130, Social Membership (non voting) €30, All members of Club Barrs 20182020 are automatica­lly entitled to Adult Membership. Louth GAA Coaching & Games are looking for coaches for the 2018 Louth GAA Kellogg’s Cúl Camps which will be taking place at various venues throughout the county this summer.

The club would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Vincie Murphy, Clonmore Glebe, Togher, Co. Louth. Vincie was a founder committee member of Naomh Fionnbarra way back in 1957 when St. Colmcilles and Walshestow­n Rovers amalgamate­d. Vincie played with both St. Colmcilles and then Naomh Fionnbarra. In 1950 he won the 2nd Division Championsh­ip and Ranafast Cup with St. Colmcilles and in 1960 then as a Finbarrs player he was part of the McArdle Cup winning team. Vincie remained a keen supporter of the club all of his life, may he Rest In Peace.

NAOMH MALACHI

MUSING Malachi presentati­on night will take place on Saturday March 3rd in clubrooms. Music by “Hand like a foot”, and refreshmen­ts served. Everyone in community welcome to enjoy this evening entertainm­ent.

Operation Malsformat­ion takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evenings with an 8pm start. For those interested in getting out, getting active, and getting fit for the New Year through a variety of exercise nights (from walking to running to circuit training), contact Tracey to kickstart your 2018!

Training has commenced for the new football season with sessions taking place on Tuesday and Friday nights at 8pm, and Sunday mornings at 9am. All welcome. Best wishes to Thomas
