Clubs back Pairc Tailteann redevelopment project
THE go-ahead for the redevelopment of Pairc Tailteann has received the green light after unanimous support from clubs at last week’s special meeting in Dunganny.
The Meath County Board is to establish a Pairc Tailteann Development Committee, with the project and the bulk of the funding being handled by that committee.
A target of €2 million is set to be raised over the next two years to minimise borrowing.
The new committee will liaise with all official bodies, businesses and supporters to advance the project and secure support, financial and otherwise.
Former Meath football manager Sean Boylan addressed the club delegates at last week’s meeting and the reaction to his thoughts on redeveloping Pairc Tailteann was greeted with full support from all those in attendance.
