Cottage marks two years
BIRTHDAY TIME ON SATURDAY AS COTTAGE MARKET BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON
IT will be birthday time for the Drogheda Cottage Market this Saturday when it makes a return to St Peter’s Church of Ireland hall on Peter Street between 11-4pm.
This will be its second birthday and the whole idea has gone from strength to strength over the course of the last year.
The Cottage Market is a wonderful concept and has proved an outlet for everyone, from potato farmers to crafters and food producers.
They will be showcasing the brilliant talent in the town with over 25 stalls of homemade, homegrown and handcrafted goodies.
The crew from Music at the Gate will join them as part of the festivities, adding some brilliant Irish music to the occasion.
And those with an interest in the arts won’t be left ut either. Drogheda’s Poetry in The Park will launch their monthly meet up at the cottage from 2.30-3.30pm .
They invite poets and writers to come along and just enjoy the occasion.
They will have Kraut rocks by Plenitude who will host two fermentation workshops on site and booking is essential here.
It is hoped that large crowds will attend the market throughout the day.
