More parking

Drogheda is in dire need of more carparking and a local councillor has called for an urgent review of the situation in light of the recent closure of the Old Fire Station Car Park on Scarlet Street. The issue was raised at the Drogheda Municipal District meeting by Councillor Frank Godfrey who said the issues of availability, location and suitability in central Drogheda need to be reviewed. Responding to the motion, a spokesperson for the council said a meeting in respect of parking was convened and attended by technical staff based in Drogheda.
