Trees being removed from wall in Slane

-

CLLR Wayne Harding has said that works to remove trees and vegetation from on top of a wall in Slane village are progressing well.

“Works are a head of schedule and going very well. There was a danger of a wall collapse on the N 51 Navan / Drogheda road in Slane village that necessitated a one lane closure and a stop go traffic management plan being implemented. Remedial works have been carried out and it is not envisaged that there will be a need for a road closure as works progress.

‘When the vegetation removal is complete works will then commence on the permanent stabilisation of the wall,’ he stated
