DULEEK TIDY TOWNS
Thank you to everybody who supported the recent Church Gate Collection in Duleek, which raised €480. We will be going out shortly to do some weeding and tidying up etc, if you are interested in helping out ring Ann on 9823415 for more information on places and times.
DULEEK CARDIAC FIRST RESPONSE GROUP- PUBLIC ACCESS DEFIBRILLATORS
Duleek CFR group are delighted to announce the installation of 2 Public Access Defibrillators (PAD) in the community. They are located outside Meath County Council, Civic Offices, Main Street, Duleek, Eircode A92 R9KW and outside Scoil Naomh Treasa, Collierstown, Bellewstown, Eircode A92 AX28.
To access the defibrillator phone 999/112 to alert the emergency services, you will be given the code for the combination lock which is located on the bottom of the cabinet. Once the lock has been removed release the 2 latches either side of the lock to open the cabinet & remove the defibrillator.
6 members of the community in Duleek & 6 members of the community in Bellewstown have recently completed a Heartsaver CPR/AED course which was instructed by Duleek CFR Group. Both public access defibrillators & outdoor heated cabinets have been funded by Meath PPN & Duleek Cardiac First Response Group. We would like to thank Meath County Council for facilitating the installation of the PAD in Duleek and Niall Mallon Electrical for installing the PAD in Bellewstown. Thanks to you the community for your continued support which makes projects like this possible. We would also like to thank those who volunteered to attend the CPR/AED course and our instructors who presented the course.
Volunteers trained in Duleek are: Caoimhe McGuinnes of Haven Pharmacy, Chris Dunne of Forge Fitness, Ruairi Nestor of Duleek & District Athletic Club, Chloe Smith of You’re Gorgeous Hair Salon, Leanne Gaughran of The Greyhound Bar and Adele Walsh of The Energy Centre. Volunteers trained in Bellewstown are: Rosemary Teeling, Christine Teeling, Bernadette McGuinness Principal of Scoil Naomh Treasa, Anne Collins, Gillian Whearty and Freda Barnes. Instructors from Duleek CFR group who presented the Heartsaver course are: John Heeney, Pauline Durkin and Marella Gallagher.
DULEEK FOROIGE
Premiere of Duleek Foróige’s Documentary “Remembering Childhoods of Times Past”: Over the last number of months teenagers from Duleek Foróige have interviewed some seasoned local personalities -
Cathy McGrane, Michael Brodigan, Mary Connell, Jim Curley and Jimmy Lynch - to hear about their childhood memories. Join us for the first screening of this hour-long documentary on Sunday 11th March from 3pm - 5pm in the Courthouse. Refreshments will be served - expect to see some traditional deserts and treats from 1940s, 50s& 60s Ireland! This event is free and all are welcome.

Duleek Women’s Forum are running a trip to the Glenview Hotel and Leisure Centre in Wicklow and a day trip to Wicklow Jail . Leaving on Sunday 11th of March and returning Monday 12th of March. Enquiries to Ann on 9823415.
