Karen to conduct Drogheda Collective

CALLING Musicians ! Drogheda Orchestral Collective (DOC) is delighted to announce that Karen Ní Bhroin, award-winning assistant conductor with RTÉ Orchestras and Choirs will Conduct the Drogheda group for its new Spring Season, commencing in April 2018.

Musicians of all instrument families are invited to be part of an exciting learning and performing season.

Drogheda Orchestral Collective is a community orchestra open to musicians of all ages, but currently made up of mostly adult musicians.

The group performs a broad repertoire from classical, film scores to choral and experiment­al pieces and has collaborat­ed with many artists and performers since its formation in 2013.

Following sell out performanc­es of The Snowman performed to a live screening of the film, and works such as Sean O Riadas Mise Eire,

They have also engaged with inspiring musicians in workshops given by Zoe Conway, Tadhg Murphy and Camerata Ireland. As guest conductor Karen Ni Bhroin has extensive experience conducting and teaching and they are delighted to welcome her to what will be a very exciting season for DOC.
