Town turns yellow!

- By ALISON COMYN

WE don’t need the sun to shine to turn Drogheda yellow, because we’ve got daffodils!

All this week we’ve watched shops and businesses in the town jump on board the Paint the Town Yellow campaign to show support for the work of the Irish Cancer Society.

It was back in 2014 when the Drogheda Volunteers first got ambitious, embarking on a fundraising and awareness campaign. By asking local businesses to Paint the Town Yellow in the run up to Daffodil Day, and marching as the yellow army in St Patrick’s Day Parade, they sought to remind people of the important services provided and research funded by the ICS.
