Dumping not fair on council

-

THIS must be a pretty usual sight for the maintenance staff of Louth County Council.

And they must detest it.

The steps leading from the North Strand to the Chord Road seem to have become a dumping ground with bags of rubbish just dumped there on a regular basis.

It appears the bins were not even full at times, but the bags were too big to fit into them!

The cost to the council must be incredible as the result of this dumping and it’s just not fair on the local authority that they have to carry the can.

Some councillors have suggested covert CCTV should be used in certain litter black spots and this might be an idea for the steps in this area.

This is the dumping of household waste on a large scale and it must be tackled.
