Sally in pole position for title

SALLY Inn’s B team have booked their place in the upcoming Division 3 Final in the Fosters Duleek & District League after gaining the final-round victory they needed on Friday last.

Hosts Mariner B, who have also qualified for the knockout stages, put it up to the leaders but were just pipped, and that meant that second-placed Railway Bar’s win elsewhere wasn’t enough to see them top the standings. Instead, Railway await the winners of the Admirals v Mariner B tie in the semi-final.

Thatch C have their sights firmly set on a league and cup double after they won through from last week’s Speedy Heavey Cup semi-final tie with Grennans, while Lynchs secured their place in the Division 2 knockout stages by winning a play-off against Valley Inn.
