‘Invisible’ lines are now gone...
LOUTH County Council have moved to regulate an issue on Laurence’s Street that saw people receiving parking tickets for parking on ‘invisible lines’ on the street.
The council carried out significant repairs to the edge of the roadway on the street in recent months.
However, double yellow lines that had been there were not re-painted, leading to confusion with drivers, especially since the suspension of pay parking.
A number received parking fines for pulling up on the stretch of roadway.
Last week, the council re-painted the lines to end the confusion.
