Something for children at the Highlanes Gallery
WITH such a big response back in February, Highlanes Gallery is once again presenting a set of double workshops this coming April!
Aquatic Adventures in Art: Drawing with Scissors will be by Julie Duhy on Thursday April 5th, and will be looking into creating coloured pieces and shapes with crepe and coloured paper with only scissors. All this set to the backdrop of sounds and pictures from one of Landmarks and Lifeforms stunning video pieces.
Friday April 6th will see Yvonne Byrne’s Gelatin Printmaking: Landmarks & Lifeforms workshop. Based on a style where wood, stone, and even copper would be more commonly used, this workshop will introduce children to how easy and unique using gelatin is to create beautiful prints.
Each day there will be workshops for children aged 5 – 13 years, starting at 11.30am and 2.00pm (90 Minutes duration). For further information and links, please see Highlanes Gallery Website and Facebook Page.
