Last chance to sample the Lent lunch at St Peter’s Church hall

ST Peters (Church of Ireland), Parish Hall, Peters St, Drogheda are running their tenth year of a series of lunches, on each Wednesday during Lent for the benefit of Drogheda Homeless Aid.

They will be offering a choice of tasty soups, sandwiches and tea or coffee, each Wednesday between 12:30pm and 2:30pm in return for a suggested donation of €6 for adults and €3 for children.

All ingredient­s for the lunches and costs are completely sponsored by businesses and individual­s in the local community and as a result the entire proceeds will go towards Drogheda Homeless Aid.

Grease in Barbican

ON 9th and 11th May, St Joseph’s secondary school present the musical Grease in the Barbican.

Golf outing for the roof

A MAJOR fundraisin­g campaign has been launched in a bid to raise up to €200,000 to save the roof of St Mary’s church on James Street.

They have organised a Golf Classic on the 27th April 2018 in Laytown/Bettystown Golf Club. People can support this project by any of the following: Team of four - €300 includes green fees and dinner. Tee Box Sponsorshi­p - €100.
