Talking point...

EVERY time Louth travel away from home you are struck by just how far other county’s have advanced their county ground facilities, while Louth’s Gaelic Grounds has stagnated, lost in a timewarp. Just five or six years ago Clare’s main grounds in Ennis was in a pretty poor state too but a big push by all involved led to an excellent redevelopment on a modest budget. It’s an arena players will strive to grace for club or county and one the Clare county board can be proud of. Meanwhile, in Louth, we seem further away than ever from a ground we can proudly call home.
