‘Hill too steep as St Pat’s lose again

-

SUMMERHILL ST PATRICK’S 2-12 0-6

A SECOND successive defeat, this time in Summerhill, has dropped St Patrick’s into the lower regions of Division 1.

The Stamullen men were forced to line out without the injured Niall Mooney and they suffered another blow when Padraig Nulty was forced off with a second-half injury.

Barry Dardis hit the ‘Hill goal as the home side led 1-5 to 0-4 at half-time.

St Patrick’s found scoring difficult to come by all the way through, but they were still in contention until conceding a needless second-half penalty. The spot-kick was dispatched to the net by Willie Ryan, leaving it 2-9 to 0-6.
