Senechalstown draw little comfort from point
THE sending-off of Niall Lyons proved costly for Seneschalstown as they relinquished a 10-point lead and had to settle for a share of the spoils at Dunderry last Saturday.
Lyons was somewhat unfortunate to be dismissed for a second yellow card offence near the end of the opening half.
Seneschalstown dominated throughout the first half and led 2-7 to 0-3 at the break. Full forward Brian Sheridan hit 1-2 for the visitors in that opening half, with Cathal Finnegan converting four frees. Brendan Lynch was on target with Seneschalstown second goal, with Lyons accounting for their remaining point.

half and were back in contention after Stephen Coogan netted at the three quarter way stage to leave it 2-8 to 1-6.
That lead was reduced further before Coogan dispatched a penalty to the Seneschalstown net to leave the minimum between the teams.
A Seneschalstown rally saw them hit three successive points, but Dermot Kelly replied at the other end and then Liam Dempsey shot an equalising goal.
Coogan then pointed Dunderry ahead, but Bryan Clarke snatched a dramatic equaliser, converting a ‘45’ right on the stroke of the fulltime whistle.
