Pressure

IN the League of Ireland Dundalk maintained the pressure on leaders Cork City with an excellent result away to Sligo. Goals either side of half time from Patrick Hoban and Michael Duffy were enough to see off Sligo as Dundalk closed the gap at the top to just one point. The Lilywhites face Bohemians in their next outing on Good Friday.

Drogheda United also maintained their good start to the season with a stirring comeback to earn a point against Galway in a 2-2 draw on Friday night at United Park.

Reduced to ten men mid-way through the second half, Drogheda forced an equaliser through Luke Gallagher.
