- BY HUBERT MURPHY

THEY are one of the most progressive clubs in the region and now they are taking an even bigger step forward.

East Meath United have organised a workshop on supporting players with autism being run by the FAI & Irish Society for Autism.

The two hour course provides coaches with a basic understanding of autism and gives tips on how to support players with autism.

One venue was the Leisure Park in Drogheda last week and the second is planned for 28th March at Reddans in Bettystown.

The club also hosted a taster session for young players on the superb All-Weather at the Minnistown venue.

Children must be at least 5 years of age or currently enrolled in primary school to be eligible to join the programme and more details can be had from Football4all@eastmeathunited.ie

The club have big plans for the future development of their location.
