GAELIC4GIR­LS AT THE WOLFE TONES GFC

CALLING all years old!

Wolfe Tones GFC Drogheda has been selected to run a Gaelic 4 Girls programme in 2018 in partnershi­p with the LGFA. The programme offers girls who have never played gaelic before an opportunit­y to learn the basics and get involved in Ladies football.

‘We’ve been in a good few of the primary and secondary schools in the area and we’ve had a great response,’ said Stephanie Leonard from Wolfe Tones GFC.

‘Our club is one of only 42 clubs selected from the large number of applicants in both Ireland and the UK to take part in the programme and this will be a great opportunit­y for girls to give Gaelic a go in their local club.’

Gaelic 4 Girls is geared at girls aged between 8-12 years old and offers a structured schedule of eight weeks training which will be on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm at Wolfe Tones Pitch, Platin Road, starting Wednesday 11th April.

Participan­ts will receive a free MASITA T-shirt to celebrate 10 years of the Gaelic 4 Girls programme, and following completion, will be awarded an girls aged 8-12 official LGFA Gaelic 4 Girls certificat­e and have an opportunit­y to play in a provincial blitz on 16th June.

This will be a great opportunit­y for girls to give Gaelic a go in their local club . For more informatio­n check out the Wolfe Tones Facebook page or turn up on April 11th to take part.
