Mr Keenan wins award for Greenhills

TONY Keenan of Our Lady’s College in Drogheda, Co Louth was recognised for his contributi­on to student wellbeing at the National Teacher of the Year Awards.

He was honoured at a ceremony, held at Trinity College Dublin, which celebrates outstandin­g contributi­ons by second-level teachers who go “beyond the classroom to establish a lasting impact in their students’ lives”.

A native of Ballybeg, County Monaghan, Tony has been teaching English at Our Lady’s College, Greenhills for over a decade.

He is involved in the Mental Health week in the school each year which proves a great success.
