Digital Skills for Citizen Training classes commence in Slane Youth Cafe (beside church) on Monday, April 9th, from 2 - 4pm. Get online with free introductory internet training. Learn how to use a laptop, iPad, tablet, smartphone, send an email, shop and pay bills online.

KNOWTH NOW OPEN

The Knowth megalithic passage tomb has opened for the new season and will be open every day until early November. All access is through the Brú na Bóinne Centre.

DATES FOR THE DIARY

Confirmation in Slane parish takes place on Thursday, April 26th at 3pm. First Holy Communion is on Saturday, May 19th at 11am. Blessing of the Graves is in Monknewtown, Dowth and Fennor on Sunday May 20th, and on the Hill of Slane and St Erc’s cemetery on Sunday May 27th.

SOSAD CYCLE

Slane Spinners are gearing themselves up for the big 10th anniversary SOSAD Cycle which will be hosted by the club. It takes place on Sunday, May 13th, and this year the cycle will start and finish at Stackallen Pitch & Putt premises where there is ample facilities for parking cars etc. The signing in fee is €20 for the 105km or 50km fun run. Sign in at 8am, start at 9.30am sharp. Helmets compulsory, Soup and sandwiches on return. Online check in at eventmaster.ie

SLANE CASTLE 5K
