Brendan Martin stars for Dunleer

-

A purple patch immediately after the interval during which they registered five points without reply set Lannleire up for a comfortable win in the opening round of the IFC against Oliver Plunketts at Collon on Sunday night (1-14, 0-7).

The Dunleor side had turned over with a interval lead of a goal (1-4 to 0-4) courtesy of a controversial penalty awarded in the 8th minute, and while there was not a great deal between the sides in the first half, Lannleire took over in the second.

In attack, Brendan Martin who contributed 1-6, converting the penalty and with the remainder of his scores from frees, was the star man.

PJ Callan (pictured), Wayne Carroll, Stephen Flood and Noel Grace also did their bit.
